The OSD Audio ACE670 is a 6.5" angled LCR (left, center, right) trimless in-ceiling speaker that keeps the imaging and staging regular down-firing ceiling speakers lose. Its woofer is fixed at a 15-degree angle to aim sound toward the listening area, and a pivoting tweeter gives you even more control over placement.

Inside, a sturdy 6.5" carbon fiber composite woofer pairs with a 1" pivoting aluminum dome tweeter. Frequency response is 45Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 89 dB and power handling is rated at 90W. A front-mounted contour switch lets you tailor the bass and treble to the room after installation.

The woofer uses a butyl rubber surround, which gives deeper bass and a wider frequency response than foam and lasts about twice as long - roughly 25 years compared with 12 to 15. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts give a secure connection to any 8-ohm amplifier or AV receiver.

The trimless Architectural Ceiling Element (ACE) design is flush mounted and hardly noticeable. The micro-flange grille is held on by strong magnets and is spray paintable to match the ceiling. Built-in dog-ear brackets make installation quick: cut an 8.12" hole, wire the speaker, set it in place and tighten the front screws. The speaker measures 8.76" in diameter with 4.5" of mounting depth.

Do I need an amplifier?

Yes. The ACE670 is a passive 8-ohm speaker. Connect it to any stereo amplifier, AV receiver or multi-zone system that drives 8-ohm speakers.
