The secret is the dual voice coil (DVC) woofer. Two voice coils - one for the left channel and one for the right - drive a single 6.5" fiberglass cone, while dual 1/2" titanium-coated dome tweeters handle the highs for each channel. You hear both sides of the music from one spot in the ceiling, without needing a second hole.

Installation is straightforward. Cut a 7.80" hole, connect the left and right speaker wires to the spring-loaded binding posts, set the speaker in place and tighten the front screws to lock the built-in dog-leg brackets. The speaker measures 8.86" in diameter with 3.54" of mounting depth.
