OSD Audio ACE650 - 6.5" Kevlar® Woofer Trimless In-Ceiling Speaker Pair, 90W RMS, White

The OSD Audio ACE650 is a step-up 6.5" trimless in-ceiling speaker pair built around premium parts: Kevlar woofers, pivoting aluminum dome tweeters and sophisticated crossovers. The result is deep, rich bass and exceptional top-end detail for whole-house music, TV sound and home theater surrounds.

• KEVLAR WOOFER FOR CLEAN, DEEP BASS: The sturdy 6.5" Kevlar cone holds its shape at high volume, so it plays note for note without coloration. Turn the system up for movies and parties and the bass stays tight and rich.
• AIMABLE ALUMINUM TWEETER: The 1" pivoting aluminum dome tweeter can be pointed toward the listening area for detailed, exceptional highs. Sophisticated crossovers blend the drivers smoothly from 45Hz - 20kHz, with 89 dB sensitivity.
• SECURE CONNECTIONS: Gold-plated 5-way binding posts accept bare wire, pins, spades or banana plugs. Each speaker handles 90W RMS (180W peak) and presents an 8-ohm load for standard amplifiers, AV receivers and multi-zone systems.
• TRIMLESS, PAINTABLE GRILLES: The micro-flange grille is held on by strong magnets and sits close to the ceiling for a clean, flush look. Spray paint the grilles to match any decor and the speakers blend in with recessed lights.
• EASY INSTALL, SOLD AS A PAIR: Built-in dog-ear brackets lock each speaker to the ceiling as you tighten the front screws. Includes two passive speakers and two paintable magnetic grilles. 7.80" cutout, 3.54" mounting depth.
• WARRANTY: Backed by OSD Audio's 10-year warranty.

Kevlar is one of the best materials for a woofer cone. It responds note for note without coloration and has the strength to play loud, so you can turn the system up and the bass stays clean and controlled. The 1" aluminum dome tweeter pivots, so you can aim the highs toward the seating area even when the speaker cannot sit directly overhead.

Frequency response is 45Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 89 dB and each speaker handles 90W RMS (180W peak). With an 8-ohm load, the ACE650 works with standard stereo amplifiers, AV receivers and multi-zone systems. Gold-plated 5-way binding posts give a secure, corrosion-resistant connection.

The trimless design, part of the Architectural Ceiling Element (ACE) series, uses a micro-flange grille held on by strong magnets. It sits close to the ceiling for a clean, flush finish, and the grilles are spray paintable to match any decor.

To install, cut a 7.80" hole, wire the speaker, set it in place and tighten the front screws to lock the built-in dog-ear brackets against the ceiling. Each speaker measures 8.86" in diameter with 3.54" of mounting depth.
