OSD DAC Series: DAC-X-200 amplifier is designed for several applications:
At-home desktop or home studio situations, where there is a need to improve the audio from a laptop, PC, iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Using the DAC-X-200’s, Class 2-compliant USB Audio Input, the sound from your computer will be sent digitally, to the built-in ES9018K2M SABRE32 Reference digital-to-analog converter. The S9018K2M SABRE32 Reference DAC’s 32-bit Hyperstream architecture can handle up to 32-bit, 384kHz PCM data via I2S, DSD-11.2MHz data as well as mono mode for highest-performance applications. Both synchronous and ASRC (asynchronous sample rate conversion) modes are supported.
The built-in 200Watts per channel amplifier will then power even the most demanding speakers, including floor-standing and desktop or stand-mounted types.
Improving the sound from your TV
Using the Optical digital output from your TV (if available), you can bypass the TV’s DAC and built-in speakers and use our advanced, Class 2-compliant, digital optical audio input and send the sound from your TV, digitally, to the built-in ES9018K2M SABRE32 Reference digital-to-analog converter. The built-in 200Watts per channel amplifier will then power even the most demanding speakers, including floor-standing and desktop or stand-mounted types.
When not watching TV, the DAC-X-200 can be connected to another audio source, such as an OSD Audio streamer, Amazon Alexa device, or a digital or analog music device such as CD/DVD player, iPhone/iPad etc. The DAC-X-200 can switch automatically between the two devices depending on whether they are connected to Input, 1, Input 2, or the digital inputs. Input 1 is the default input, input 2 and the digital inputs are ‘interrupting’ inputs and will mute Input 1 when playing. There is no need to manually switch inputs.
As part of a Whole-House Distributed Audio System
The OSD Audio DAC-X-200 is also designed for dedicated stereo and distributed audio applications. It offers many features including A & B speaker outputs and USB Type A Class 2, 24/194 HD Audio, plus Optical Digital inputs as well as RCA Line In, and Interrupt Line In inputs. It can also be configured for Stereo or Bridged output.
In a whole-house distributed audio system, the DAC-X-200 can switch between a local source or the whole-house audio source automatically. Input 2 and the digital inputs will always override or interrupt input 1.
In Commercial Applications
Using Line 2 as a microphone input, you can interrupt background music to make announcements. This is ideal for small commercial projects where 70/100v line-level amps and speakers are not needed.
In conclusion, the OSD DAC-X-200 amplifier is a versatile and powerful audio solution for a variety of settings, from enhancing the audio experience at home to serving the needs of whole-house audio systems and even small commercial applications. With its high-quality DAC, robust amplification, and flexible input options, it stands as a top choice for audiophiles and professionals alike, ensuring superior sound quality and seamless integration into any audio setup. Whether for personal enjoyment or enhancing customer experiences, the DAC-X-200 delivers unparalleled audio performance.
