      SKU: NERO-XMAX2

Massive, honest, both-channels-driven power for serious two-channel and home theater systems. The XMAX2 pairs a 2000VA toroidal power supply with fully discrete Class A/B amplification, balanced XLR and RCA inputs, a built-in USB-C DAC, and an illuminated analog power meter — all backed by a 5-year warranty.

      • TRUE RATED POWER — 600W x2 into 8Ω and 1000W x2 into 4Ω, both channels driven (1% THD); 1800W bridged into 8Ω for monoblock setups
      • HIGH-CURRENT CLASS A/B — fully discrete design with 22A peak / 16A continuous output current per channel; continuous 4Ω operation supported
      • MASSIVE POWER SUPPLY — OSD PowerCore™ 2000VA toroidal transformer + ReserveCap™ 200,000µF audio-grade capacitor bank
      • EVERY INPUT YOU NEED — balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA, and a USB-C input with built-in DAC (PCM up to 32-bit/192kHz, driverless plug-and-play)
      • MATCHES ANY PREAMP — selectable 23dB/29dB gain works with everything from streaming preamps to reference balanced sources
      • CLASSIC LOOKS, MODERN BRAINS — 12mm machined aluminum front panel, illuminated analog VU meter, full protection suite with resettable 20A breaker (no fuses to replace)
      • SET-AND-FORGET INTEGRATION — 12V trigger in/out, automatic 120V/240V operation, 5-way binding posts
      • 5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The OSD Nero XMAX2 was engineered for music enthusiasts and home theater listeners who demand uncompromising power, dynamic realism, and refined sonic performance. Combining high-current Class A/B amplification with premium internal components and precision construction, the XMAX2 delivers exceptional control, transparency, and musical accuracy across the entire audio spectrum — equally at home in a dedicated two-channel audiophile system or a high-performance home theater.

Under the 12mm machined aluminum faceplate: a 2000VA low-noise toroidal transformer, 200,000µF of audio-grade filter capacitance, and five complementary pairs of high-current bipolar output devices per channel. The result is effortless dynamic headroom — delicate detail at whisper levels, explosive authority when the soundtrack calls for it, and the current reserves to drive demanding 4Ω speakers continuously.

Connectivity covers every system: balanced XLR for the cleanest long runs, RCA for standard preamps and AVR pre-outs, and a built-in USB DAC for direct connection from your computer or streamer. Selectable gain (23dB/29dB) matches the amplifier to your source, and 12V trigger integration means it powers up and down with the rest of your rack automatically. Want more? Run a pair in bridge mode as 1800-watt monoblocks.

The OSD Safe™ multi-layer protection system (DC, over-current, thermal, short-circuit) guards your investment, and a resettable 20A circuit breaker means an over-current event never sends you hunting for fuses. Backed by OSD's 5-Year Limited Warranty.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Will this drive my 4-ohm tower speakers?
Yes — continuously. The XMAX2 is rated 1000W x2 into 4Ω with both channels driven and 16A RMS of continuous current per channel. (In bridge mode, use 8Ω speakers only.)

What amp gain setting do I use with my AVR or streamer?
Use 29dB for AV receiver pre-outs, streaming preamps, and most DACs — they'll drive the amp to full power. Use 23dB with high-output audiophile preamps for the lowest noise floor. Start at 23dB; if you run out of volume, switch to 29dB.

Do I need a special outlet?
A standard dedicated 15A or 20A wall outlet is recommended — skip the power strip. The headline 3150W consumption spec is a worst-case bench test; real music draws far less.

Does the USB input need drivers?
No. Plug in via USB-C, flip the rear DAC switch to ON, and the XMAX2 shows up as a standard audio device on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Supports PCM up to 32-bit/192kHz.

Can I use two XMAX2s for more power?
Absolutely — that's the dual monoblock setup: each amp in bridge mode delivers 1800W into an 8Ω speaker, with improved channel separation and maximum dynamic headroom.
