The SRT4 is a 4-zone Multimedia Audio Streaming Server that has you covered for both commercial and residential clients who want to stream and control audio in homes, restaurants, offices, gyms, or retail spaces without making the penny pinchers flinch. This feature-rich wireless streaming pre-amplifier connects and delivers 24-bit audiophile-level sound quality from a music library, Spotify, Napster, iTunes or iHeartRadio and can be used with Alexa to play other music sources or internet radio—all easily controlled with the free OSD Play App for smartphones or tablets.
Great Sound – Everywhere
Distributed audio has gone through a renaissance over the last few years thanks to Bluetooth and now the more sophisticated Wi-Fi options. Customers can enjoy tunes from the kitchen to the garage or play internet radio in the conference room and mellow jazz in the waiting room. The downside of streaming is the sound quality, which is generally compressed by the tiny Digital-to-Analog Converters or DACs in smart phones and tablets. The SRT4 bypasses the DAC and uses its own (one for each zone), more robust converter to deliver a 24-bit audio signal (CD/DVD quality) to external amplifier sand speakers. The higher bit rate and uncompressed signal reveal sonic subtleties that make a great song sound even greater.
Advanced Inputs and Outputs/ RS485 Connectivity
The app driven SRT4 Multimedia Audio Streaming Server includes advanced connection capabilities with three key sources including Built in Wi-Fi, external USB input both per zone and a universal bus featuring two Stereo RCA inputs as well as a single Digital Fiber optic input. These three Bus Inputs can be selected independently per zone through the App Line outs include RCA stereo and digital optical inputs per Zone. There are two options for setting up the Wi-Fi connection. The first is a Lan (RJ45) for direct connection where all four Wi-Fi links configure automatically to a Wi-Fi router. The second option is a wireless connection using a WPS button included for each zone. Each Wi-Fi link needs to be set individually for each of the four zones. Lastly there is a RS485 (similar to RS232 but for controlling multiple devices) connector for interfacing with an external control system.
Adding additional SRT4s / App-Driven Simplicity
Pair our SRT4 with additional SRT4 Streaming Four Zone Servers for those bigger applications where four zones is not enough. All zones can be controlled by the Free OSD Audio Player App to stream music to other audio zones directly through your phone or tablet. The streaming possibilities (and zones) are endless! Through the app you can group any number of zones. Any combination can be selected trough the app, even all zones at once. Imagine showing this to clients who will think you are a genius!
1. Does this work with Apple Airplay?
Yes it does, but you need to set up the NERO Link using the OSD Player App first which you can find in the app store. Once the NERO Link syncs with your Wi-Fi network, you would reconnect your device to your home Wi-Fi network. Then you would open Apple Airplay, from there you would select the source you want to cast and the NERO Link should appear on that list. Please feel free to contact customer Service at OSD Audio to walk you through it. With this feature it increases the number of Sources available to our Streaming Devices.
